Rain or shine, we’re always on the lookout for the best bites to eat in this hustle and bustle city. Read on to find the best local Cantonese and Macanese dining spots around the city.

Open from 7:30-1am daily, Kai Kee is known for their generous serving of chicken chop and porkchop. For a quick, satisfying bite, we love their chicken patty burger, made with Kai Kee’s secret recipe and sauce. For something different, try the jellyfish and shredded chicken on vermicelli noodles.

Don’t let its shiny new exterior fool you - this Cantonese style Cha Chaan Teng may have only opened a year ago, but their milk tea has been gaining steady recognition ever since. Their secret? They reached out to award-winning milk tea brewer, Mr Chow Hon-man and collaborated with him in reproducing his 40-year old recipe at their restaurant. While you’re there, be sure to check out the crispy pineapple buns paired with milk tea ( for tea breaks), black vinegar sweet and sour pork, and salted vegetable fish stew (signature dishes recommended for dinner) .

We guarantee that you’ll be impressed by this cafe’s extra thick french toast. Standing tall with a slice of butter served on top, their french toast is the size of two regular ones stacked on top of each other. Their (regular sized) savoury delights such as stir-fried noodles and fried rice are equally as appetizing but be sure to bring friends if you want to try them all.

Known for their pork chop buns, the buns are always crisp and coated with a layer of melted butter and the pork chop overspilling from the sides. Be sure to try out some local desserts such as the circular coconut cakes and cream filled butter swiss rolls.
