Over the course of three weeks in November, Sai Van Lake Square plays host to many thousands of guests as the cosmopolitan Macao Food Festival brings the best in gastronomy from Asia, Europe and Mainland China – as well as Macau – to an international audience.
The theme this year, “Hokkaido Village”, means that this calendar favourite appeals as much to Macau residents as it does to tourists, as they get the opportunity to sample dishes from all over the world in a series of “food streets” devoted to individual countries’ cuisines.
Aside from the feast of fine fare on offer at the stalls, there are plenty of side events to keep visitors entertained, including games, live performances and beer competitions.
